2023 JUNIOR 3.44km JOHN HERTZ HANDICAP EVENT

The Junior 3.44km John Hertz Handicap event at Yellow Gum Park, saw a field of 13 runners take to the hills of the Blue Lake trail and master the challenge of two laps around the Lake.

Despite the threatening rain band working across the Diamond Valley there were still a band of DVAC athletes keen to support this year's John Hertz Handicap held at Yellow Gum Park on Saturday 3rd June 2018.

VINTAGE VALLEY VALIANCE IN THE VINEYARDS: ST ANNE'S CROSS COUNTRY

35 DVAC athletes took on the St Anne's Winery challenge. For most it was a very sobering experience negotiating the hills, sharp turns, ruts and uphill finish. At the end of the day, all agreed that the experience was a positive one and one they would would welcome again next year.

2023 DVAC BINNAK BOWL

Conditions were cold and wet at Binnak Park but the large turnout of 40 runners took on the challenge of completing the 3km and 5km Handicap events with enthusiasm. What followed was as excellent running of the annual Binnak Bowl.

XCR'23 RD 2: ALBERT PARK ROAD RACES_DVAC RESULTS

The weather was definitely a challenge. So was having to run 10km around Albert Park Lake - but a large contingent of DVAC athletes took up the challenge with some outstanding results.

CROSS COUNTRY SEASON OFF TO A GOOD START AT THE VALLEY

The conditions were ideal at Jells Park for the opening round of the Cross Country season; the numbers were up with the Diamond Valley Athletic Club; and the team efforts were impressive enough to indicate that our Winter competition will be a good one.

VALLEY JUNIORS COMPETE AT THE 2023 NATIONALS

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club was represented by 22 athletes at the 2023 Australian Junior (U13 to U18) Track & Field Championships. Sixteen girls and 6 boys journeyed to Brisbane to compete in the Nationals. The result of their efforts are four medals, lots of pb's and valuable experience.

ELYSSIA'S CLUTCH CLEARANCE TO TAKE AUSTRALIAN POLE VAULT TITLE

It all came down to one last attempt to clear 4.20m for Elyssia Kenshole to claim her first Open Women's Pole Vault . For the five DVAC athletes competing in the 2023 Australian Athletics Championships at the Queensland Sports & Athletics Centre there were plenty of moments filled with challenge and achievement.

DVAC WINS 2022/2023 AVSL PREMIER DIVISION TITLE

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club sealed its first AVSL Premier Division title at the Aberfeldie venue on Saturday 25 March 2023. There was spirit and endeavour from the first event on the program right through to the final event, the 4 x 400m Relays when DVAC had 10 teams take part to put the icing on the cake.

VALLEY ON TOP AFTER AVSL PLAYOFFS WEEK 1

There is Finals Fever in the air at the Diamond Valley Athletic Club. After winning a points lead in Week 1 of the AVSL Playoffs it's Half Time. DVAC will need all hands on deck at Aberfeldie next Saturday when the second half is contested.

SYDNEY TRACK CLASSIC_SPECIALIST MEETS ROUND UP

No AVSL but there's lots going on for the DVAC athletes. A number have been competing at LAV State Champs, others have been competing at Specialist Meets including the Sydney Track Classic where Jaryd Clifford took on a hot field over 3000m.

DVAC RESULTS AT 2023 VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - OPEN & U20

In all 21 DVAC athletes competed in the second week of the 2023 Victorian Championships (11 Women & 10 Men). There was a total of 10 medals won against quality opposition. Valley athletes won 4 Gold medals, and 6 Silver medals across the three days of competition. The total number of DVAC athletes who competed across the two weeks of the Championships was 52 and the combined medal haul was 40. This tally was up from the DVAC total in 2022 when 28 medals were awarded to the Valley line-up of 41 a

VALLEY RESULTS AT 2023 VICTORIAN JUNIOR T&F CHAMPIONSHIPS

The first weekend of the 2023 Victorian Track & Field Championships showcased the talent possessed by the DVAC Juniors. Thirty four DVAC junior athletes journeyed into the Lakeside Stadium to compete and across the three day program on Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February 2023. In all, the DVAC juniors won a total of 30 medals.

February is always a busy month in athletics & this month is no exception. Valley athletes have been competing in a wide variety of venues & meets. See the results of their efforts.

VALLEY GOES INTO PLAYOFFS IN TOP POSITION.

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club will go into the two weeks of AVSL Playoffs having finished the 10 Round season of AVSL on top of the ladder. In the 10 weeks of the AVSL season, DVAC won 5 rounds, finished 2nd on 4 occasions and third on the other occasion.

MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS; MILERS CLUB; ADELAIDE IINVITATIONAL

Summer is just hotting up and the Valley results are streaming in. This week the Valley Masters athletes have had great success at the Victorian Masters Championships; Meet 4 of the VMC season; and three DVAC athletes compete at the Adelaide Invitational.

VALLEY SLIPS TO SECOND PLACE_ MINOR PREMIERSHIP STILL A CHANCE

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club finished in second place in Round 9 of the AVSL season. With Essendon winning the round & using their Powerplay it leaves DVAC one point behind Essendon on the season Ladder. This still leaves the Valley with a chance to take the Minor Premiership.
