Officials

Officials are an integral part of any competition. Highly trained and skilled in delivering athletics to all ages and abilities, Officials are the key to a successful sporting experience for our members. When an official nominates DVAC as their club they will enjoy free DVAC membership! A BIG thank you to those individuals. Being an Official can open doors to wide range of events and experiences,  as well as provide social opportunities within an exciting sport. Ongoing  education and training, together with mentoring programs are central to  the commitment Athletics Victoria provides our Officials.

Officiating Requirements

To be an Official with Athletics Victoria you must:

• Abide by the Child Safe Standards (see our Child Safety Statement of Commitment and Child Safety Code of Conduct)
• Complete the Play By The Rules Child Protection Course
• Complete an Officiating Course (see below)
• Have an active Athletics Victoria Membership (2021/22 Season is from April 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2022, once course is completed)
