AVSL RD 4 AND THE VALLEY POWERS UP

The Power Play was a gamble & while DVAC had to settle for second place to Eaglehawk, the mighty effort put up by the Valley athletes was outstanding. For the 3rd round in succession, DVAC scored over 50,000 points. There definitely was a 'Green Wave' at Doncaster.

DVAC ATHLETES COMPETE AT THE ALL SCHOOLS T&F CHAMPIONSHIPS

DVAC athletes represented their schools at the Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships, but their achievements were followed keenly at the Valley. In all, there were 29 DVAC junior athletes in action at Lakeside. National records as well as club records were set.

VALLEY SHINES AFTER THE RAIN - AVSL RD 3 2022

After the rain cleared up the Diamond Valley Athletic Club came out to compete in AVSL Rd 3. At the end of the day, the Valley was on top of the Premier Division ladder thanks to the efforts of the 79 athletes who took part in the competition.

AVSL RD 2: TOP EFFORT BY THE VALLEY

Round 2 of the 2022_2023 AVSL season saw the Valley surge to the top of the Ladder in the Premier Division. For many of the junior athletes it was a chance to home their event before the coming Victorian All Schools Championships.

VALLEY MAKES A GREAT START TO THE NEW SEASON OF TRACK & FIELD

The AVSL season of Track & Field got under way on Saturday 8 October and the Diamond Valley Athletic Club had a strong turnout of athletes happy to be back in action. By the end of competition, DVAC was second on the Premier League ladder and looking forward to another great season.

WILLINDA CLASSIC OPENS THE TRACK SEASON

The Willinda Classic on Thursday 22 September 2022 featured a well presented program of races over the 1000m, 3000m & 10,000m distances. Although early in the season there were a lot of athletes happy with their form on the eve of the 2022/2023 Summer of Track & Field competition.

XCR22 RD 10: TAN RELAYS

Three DVAC teams went into the Tan on a mission to defend the lead they had built up during the season in order to claim a season premiership. Their mission was successful. Lots of impressive Tan lap times, good team results and a happy tent for the Valley.

2022 JOHN HERTZ HANDICAP

A group of hardy DVAC runners tackled the slopes of Mt Blue Lake & Aaron Scott-Dalgleish & Dillon Vidanapathirana came away wearing the Polka Dot Shirt as the best hill runners. As usual, club Handicapper, Greg Luck, does a great job to produce several sprint finishes.

XCR22 RD 9: ROAD RACES AT BURNLEY

DVAC runners burn up the Boulevard at Burnley to move into position to snare three team premierships at the Tan Relays on September 17 2022.

XCR22 RD 8 ROAD RACES AT BALLARAT

28 DVAC athletes journey to Lake Wendouree, Ballarat for a successful day of competition. Shania Murray snares the Valley's first medal in Open Cross Country and two juniors in podium performances. Three teams on top of the ladder.

XCR RD 7 ROAD RACE AT ALBERT PARK

Is there a runner that doesn't like a course that is fast and flat? Well the DVAC team certainly does and that is why they enjoyed their day at at Albert Park for Round 7 of the XCR22 season on Sunday 7 August 2022.

2022 VICTORIAN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2022 Victorian Cross Country Championships were held at Bundoora Park on Saturday 23 July with over 1300 athletes from all over the state taking part. Held in two parts, the Championships covered the Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships in the morning and the Athletics Victoria Victorian Cross Country Championships in the afternoon. There were 35 members (11 Women, 24 Men) of the Diamond Valley Athletic Club who competed on the day as well as a number from the Diamond Valley Lit

AV XCR'22 ROUND 5 - ROAD RELAYS AT SANDOWN

The AV Winter program returns to Sandown after a two year break. Nine Valley teams take to the circuit at Sandown and post some great results. Thirty two athletes make up four Women's teams and five men's teams. Shania Murray and Tim Logan set the standard with some hot laps.

XCR'22 ROUND 4: EKIDEN RELAYS AT ST ANNE'S, MYRNIONG

36 DVAC athletes took on the challenge of the Big Dippers and a tough, challenging course at St Anne's, Myrniong and came away from the EKIDEN Relays with 10 good team results. The sirens at the St Anne's Winery were calling members for a short stay after the competition.

XCR'22 RD 3 - CROSS COUNTRY AT CRUDEN FARM

The sun did shine at last, but the mud & the slopes of Cruden Farm ensured that all 33 members of the Valley team were made to work hard. The good team results were a reason to smile and enjoy the post race get together in the Valley 'clubrooms'.
