XCR26 ROUND 4_CROSS COUNTRY @ CRUDEN FARM_DVAC RESULTS

The 133 acre Langwarrin estate called Cruden Farm might have a deep history of wealth with its connections with the Murdoch family, but for the Diamond Valley Athletic Club it was the wealth of great results that mattered when XCR’26 Round 4 was held on the property. With 50 DVAC athletes (24 Female & 26 Male) competing in four races that tested runners over 4km, 7km and 12km distances in mostly ideal conditions, there was a swathe of positive individual and team results for the Valley.

XCR'26 RD 3_CROSS COUNTRY AT ST ANNE'S, BENDIGO

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club finished the program of 5km & 8km Cross Country racing at St Anne’s Winery, Ravenswood with three teams winning top points for the day. The Open Female Division 2, Female Under 18 and Male Under 20 teams were all on top of their division at the end of competition. A total of 39 DVAC athletes (17 Female & 22 Male) competed over the rolling hills of the St Anne’s course and despite a brief downpour during the program there was a positive verdict on the course.

VALLEY TEAMS UP AT JELLS PARK RELAYS

DVAC distance runner, Caden Murray, made an impact with his strong run at the Athletics Victoria Cross Country Relays at Jells Park. Murray completed the two laps of a 3km circuit on the rolling hills of Jells Park in 18:20 to set a new benchmark as the fastest time recorded by a Diamond Valley athlete.

VALLEY OFF TO STRONG START FOR WINTER SEASON 2026

Distance running is alive & well at the Valley. The opening round of the winter season with Athletics Victoria saw 54 DVAC athletes (24 Female & 30 Male) take to the roads around the Albert Park lake to cover a 5km course. The DVAC results for both teams and individuals were the best start to a season that the Valley has enjoyed. Fittingly on Mother’s Day, the DVAC women led by example. The Open Female Division 2 team finished in third place to mark their best opening round on record.

Ballarat Marathon & Run the Tan

DVAC was well represented at this year’s Ballarat Marathon & Festival of running. Fourteen runners from the Valley ran either the Marathon or Half Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2026. Closer to home, DVAC was represented by two athletes in the Elite Para field at Run the Tan.

DVAC CROSS COUNTRY TRIALS 2026

The nineteen runners taking part in the DVAC Cross Country Trials must have been wondering why they were about to kick off the Winter season when they lined up in full sunshine and warm conditions. With the first AV Winter season about to start on Saturday 10th May with a 5km Road Race it was certainly time to start preparations for the coming season.

TWO GOLD MEDALS AT 2026 AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

Two Diamond Valley Athletic Club junior athletes won Gold medals at the 2026 Australian Junior Athletics Championships held in Brisbane over six days. Toby Hamilton won the Men Under 18 Pole Vault and Heidi Kuppler won Gold in the Women U15 3000m. There were 18 DVAC Under-age athletes (7 Female & 11 Male) who travelled to Brisbane to compete in the Championships.

2026 AUSTRALIAN ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS_DVAC RESULTS

The 2026 Australian Athletics Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park from 9th April to 12th April 2026 proved to be an outstanding showcase of the rich pool of talent that has emerged in Australian athletics in recent times. Against that backdrop it was a credit to the three DVAC athletes who won a medal at this year’s Championships. All of the nine DVAC athletes (5 Female & 4 Male) who did compete in the Open, Para or Under 20 Combined events are to be congratulated.

VMC #5 & PV $VIII_FINAL FLING BRINGS JOY

The final two AV Specialist Meets before the 2026 Australian National Championships ended the regular season on a positive note for the competing athletes. The great form of Elyssia Kenshole at the Pole Vault meet and Caden Murray at the Milers Club were of special merit.

VALLEY RESULTS @ MAURIE PLANT 2026 + HVC & AVT #5

Diamond Valley Athletic Club sprinters were the highlight of a big weekend of athletics kicked off with the Maurie Plant Meet on the Friday & Saturday and then with Meet #5 of the High Velocity Club & AV Throwers at Knox. DVAC entered three Relay teams in the Maurie Plant Meet Community relays that were held at Lakeside Stadium on the Friday night and all three won medals.

DVAC @ 2026 VICTORIAN T&F CHAMPIONSHIPS

VALLEY ATHLETES PASS THE CHAMPIONSHIP TEST The 2026 Open, U20 & Overage Victorian Track & Field Championships held at Lakeside Stadium over 4 days proved to be a valuable test of talent and endurance for the 41 (16 Female & 25 Male) competing DVAC athletes. Many made the journey into Lakeside on a number of days to compete but all agreed that the experience gained was well worth the effort.

RESULTS ROUND UP_MARCH 2026

Second Serve for Caden: Two races only two days apart and second place in both of the Elite fields: That is the quality of Caden Murray’s running in recent times. On Thursday night at the Doncaster Mile, Caden led the field for three laps before being caught by two of the chasing field. The ability to produce a 61 second last lap allowed Caden to reclaim second place. His time of 4:13.16 chipped a small piece off his previous pb. At Bendigo on Saturday, Caden finished in second place.

SPECIALIST MEET ROUND UP_MARCH 2026

The AV Shield season might be over but with State & National Championships just around the corner, many Valley athletes are just hitting their best form. A number of DVAC juniors competed over the past weekend at the Little Athletics Victoria State Championships. DVAC congratulates these athletes on their achievements but will leave the reporting to the Diamond Valley Little Athletics Centre.

VALLEY SEALS THE SEASON SHIELD VICTORY WITH A WIN

In a wonderful end to the 2025/2026 AVSL Club Shield season, the Diamond Valley Athletic Club sealed the Premier Division premiership with a win in the last round. Going in to Round 10 in top spot with a four point buffer to second placed side, Eaglehawk, DVAC already had a good hold on the season premiership. The win in Round 10 saw DVAC emerge as premiers by a final margin of six points.

AVSL RD 9 2026_VALLEY FORCE ARRIVES

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club came out in strength in Round 9, topping the Premier Division for the round with a season high score of 71,868 points. This score was compiled through the determined efforts of exactly 100 DVAC athletes (43 Female & 57 Male).

DVAC JUNIORS EXCEL AT VIC JUNIOR CHAMPS

Over the three days of competition at the 2026 Victorian Junior T&F Championships 43 Diamond Valley Athletic Club juniors (18 Female & 25 Male) packed in a wealth of experience at Championship level, won a total of 26 medals (8 Gold, 8 Silver and 10 Bronze), and set three new club records.

AVSL RD 3B 2026_REPORT & RESULTS

The band of Valley heroes who competed in AVSL Round 3B on Sunday 8 February have kept the DVAC premiership hopes for the 2025/2026 season alive. The 46 athletes (20 Female & 26 Male) who headed off to Aberfeldie or Frankston managed to score a total of 33,313 points for the round and finish in third place in the Premier Division, earning a valuable 8 points. This score puts DVAC eight points behind the top placed team on the Season ladder with two vital rounds of AVSL remaining.

AVSL RD 8: BIG DAY OUT FOR THE VALLEY

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club enjoyed its most successful day for the 2025/2026 Summer season in Round 8 of the AVSL competition. A record turn-out of 85 athletes (40 Female & 45 Male) amassed the highest score for the season of 57,505 points to claim top spot on the Premier Division ladder for the round. The 8 point deficit to the top placed club on the season ladder has now been reduced to 6 points with three rounds remaining.
