THE CROSS COUNTRY SEASON ARRIVES AT WILLINDA PARK
The nineteen runners taking part in the DVAC Cross Country Trials must
have been wondering why they were about to kick off the Winter season when they lined up in full sunshine and warm conditions. With the first AV Winter season about to start on Saturday 10th May with a 5km Road Race it was certainly time to start preparations for the coming season.
Jett Hollingsworth (M14) was the first athlete to return to the track and complete the final 300m. Jett completed the 3km in 10:53. Rose Jarvis (F18) (11:17) and Ryan Li (M14) (11:36) along with Jett were awarded medals for their runs. Maryann Murray won the Masters award for the 3km.
Caden Murray (M Open) continued his recent good form, completing the 6km run in 19:16 to be the first to cross the finish line. Then came Rhodri Whelan (M20) (20:56) and Asher Knuckey (M18) (21:11) to complete the medal winners. Ross McDonald and Jo Moxon were awarded medals for the Masters category.
