VALLEY SUCCESS IN TESTING TIMES

The 37 DVAC athletes (15 Female & 22 Male) representing 24 different schools who competed in Week 1 of the 2025 Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships were truly tested by strong opposition, changes in the fixture and the wild weather on the Sunday. Despite all the challenges, the DVAC juniors came away with a total of 17 medals (10 Gold, 3 Silver & 4 Bronze). There were many personal best performances and every athlete who stepped up to compete will go away with learnings from the experience.

In other news, Alyssia Kenshole cleared 4.05m at the Steigen Rare Air meet at Box Hill last Thursday night, a sure sign that she is on target for a special sort of season. Kai Bunyard pb’d in the 800m with a 2:06.26 at the Box Hill Twilight on the same evening. Felix Morgan lowered his time for the 1500m to 4:34.00 on the same program.
