AVSL ROUND 4 2025_RESULTS

Round 4 of the AVSL season was top day for the Diamond Valley Athletic Club all round. At the end of the day came the joy of seeing DVAC on top of the Premiership Ladder for the round. The season high turnout of 84 athletes (33 Female & 51 Male) had accrued a total of 52,574 points to head the Premiership Division for the first time in the season.

VICTORIAN ALL SCHOOLS WK 2 RESULTS

Thirty three DVAC juniors (10 Female, 23 Male) competed in the Week 2 events of the 2025 Victorian Track & Field Championships held at Lakeside on Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 November 2025. Over the course of the program, the DVAC juniors who were representing 22 different schools, won a total of 16 medals – 6 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze.

2025 VIC ALL SCHOOLS T&F CHAMPS_WK 1 RESULTS

The 36 DVAC athletes (14 Female & 22 Male) representing 23 different schools who competed in Week 1 of the 2025 Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships were truly tested by strong opposition, changes in the fixture and the wild weather on the Sunday. Despite all the challenges, the DVAC juniors came away with a total of 16 medals (10 Gold, 2 Silver & 4 Bronze). There were many personal best performances and every athlete who competed will go away with learnings from the experience.

AVSL RD 2 2025_VALLEY STRENGTHS ON SHOW IN AVSL RD 2

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club was out in force at the Doncaster venue for Round 2 of the AVSL 2025/2026 season. The Green & Gold singlets were dominant around the venue with a total of 78 athletes (33 Female & 45 Male) competing (4 @ the Casey venue). DVAC athletes scored a total of 49936 points for the Round, and this put the club in second place on the ladder for Round 2 in the Premier Division.

WINDY START TO SUMMER_DVAC RESULTS AT AVSL RD 1

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club started the 2025/2026 AVSL season off having to overcome the tyranny of distance as well as the bane of track & field athletes alike, strong winds. By the end of Round 1, the DVAC score of 45,179 had the club placed in second position on the Premier Division ladder and well situated to enjoy another successful summer season. In all 70 DVAC athletes (40 Male/30 Female) competed in Round 1 of the AVSL during Round 1.

CLASSIC NIGHT AT WILLINDA

Five races, five strong fields, a team of AV officials and a strong team of willing volunteers to help deliver a quality night of racing at Willinda Park. The 2025 edition of the Willinda Classic was certainly a success on all fronts. Led by Event Manager, Shania Murray, this year’s Willinda Classic welcomed new faces to the Greensborough track as well as giving local members a chance to leap into the opening event on the 2025/2026 Summer calendar.

TOAST OF THE TAN: CELEBRATING A SUCCESSFUL WINTER SEASON

The celebrations at the Tan included the Open Men Division 2 team that led the way for the Valley, smashing out six laps of the 3.8km Tan loop (22.8km) in a total time of 1hr10:36min and finishing second out of the 14 teams. As well, the DVAC team in Division 5 finished in first place and secured an Automatic Promotion to Division 4 next Winter. 55 DVAC athletes make 17 teams at the Tan.

XCR25 RD 9 RESULTS: HUNTING IN PACKS ALONG THE YARRA

They might train together but when they line up to race its game on and that was the case with a number of athletes from the Diamond Valley Athletic Club at the Road Races set for the second last round of Athletics Victoria Winter program. A total of 36 DVAC athletes (11 Female & 25 Male) took part in the Half Marathon and 4km events with results that saw three juniors achieve podium results, the Men 60+ Short Course team continue their winning streak and 13 DVAC teams in top three placings.

BINNAK BOWL & HURSTY HUSTLE RESULTS: SYDNEY MARATHON

The running of the 2025 Binnak Bowl, held on Saturday 30 August, attracted a field of 8 athletes in the 5km event and 8 athletes in the 3km run. All athletes deserved a gold medal for turning out at Binnak Park, given the unfavourable weather conditions on the morning. The Start/Finish area was shifted to the nearby Shelter which allowed some comfort to athletes and supporters. Despite the bleak conditions, spirits were high and the competition for each place was hard fought.

DVAC YELLOW GUM PARK HANDICAP

A total of 17 DVAC athletes raced at Yellow Gum with 8 Open athletes and 9 Junior athletes. Conditions at the Park were very good although the strong, cold winds tested the resilience of all who attended. It was great to have John Hertz on hand to hand out Trophies to all of the winners of the John Hertz Handicap.

Eight Diamond Valley Athletic Club athletes (6 Male & 2 Female) competed at the 2025 Australian Cross Country Championships held at Victoria Park, Ballarat on Saturday 23 August 2025. The course at Victoria Park challenged athletes constantly around the 2km Loops & 3km Loops>

DVAC RESULTS AT BALLARAT 15km/6km ROAD RACES

It was such a good day at Lake Wendouree for Round 8 of the XCR25 season. The conditions were perfect for distance running and the 39 DVAC athletes (14 Female & 25 Male) who competed on the day came off the challenge of running the 6km or 15km courses in good spirits. Among the many highlights for the Valley, it was hard to go past the achievements of the DVAC Over 60 brigade who cleaned up bigtime.

LAKESIDE 10: RUSH HOUR FOR PB'S

The lack of sunshine was made up by the smiles of the many happy runners who had posted new personal best times. Of the 37 DVAC athletes (9 Female & 28 Male) who raced at Lakeside there were at least 18 beaming the sunshine smile after their new pb times. The shared joy over the positive DVAC team results added to the Valley reward for the early Sunday morning outing.

GOLDEN GLINTS UNEARTHED AT BALLARAT

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club had 38 athletes (16 Female & 22 Male) journey to Victoria Park, Ballarat to compete in Round 6 of the 2025 XCR season and by the end of competition there were plenty of smiles around the Valley tent. The smiles most commonly reflected the sense of individual achievement that comes with having tackled a technical and challenging course and required some courage to complete.

GOOD TIMES ROLL AT SANDOWN

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club enjoyed its best results for the current Winter season at the Sandown Road Relays. The results from the Round 5 event of the XCR25 season included a new club record for a 6.2km lap, a second placing in the Open Men Division 2, three podium placings, and a batch of other success across the board. As if that were not enough, the turnout of 58 DVAC athletes (21 Female & 37 Male) was equal to the best ever.

SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY ROUND-UP

Bundoora Park maintained its reputation as the home of Cross Country running in Victoria as well over 1000 students gathered on the slopes of Mt Cooper for the 2025 Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships. There were twelve races on a busy program with the largest field of 227 students in the second event, the Male Under 14 3km. Twelve DVAC athletes took part in the day where they represented their schools.

VALLEY TEAMS LAP UP THE SPEED AROUND THE LAKE

It was fast & wild from the start as just 1000 runners started the Lakeside: 5, from outside the Lakeside Stadium over two races. “I found that things did not settle down for over two kilometres. The runners were bunched up so tightly”, said DVAC’s fastest runner on the day, Vincent Donnadieu. Vincent was still happy to post his fastest 5km time, a 14:39, and many of the 41 DVAC athletes (15 Female & 41 Male) were also pleased with their 5km times at Lakeside.
