XCR'10: Registration, Race Entry & Timing Chips

A number of significant changes have been made for this winter season and Diamond Valley athletes need to be aware of the procedure which is as follows:

  1. 1.Registration with AV is as per previous years. You complete the AV registration form (pre-filled by DVAC for previously registered athletes) and the club membership form and hand those together with your payment to our registrar Lyn or any committee member.
  2. 2.It is vital that you include an e-mail contact on your AV registration.
  3. 3.AV will then send you a link to the online system including a password.
  4. 4.To enter winter events either by way of a season's ticket or separate events you enter online through the AV website using the link and password provided to you. Payment must be made online by credit card.
  5. 5.Relay entries will continue to be the same as last year, that is you notify the cross-country captain Robin of your availability for a particular relay and he will submit the team entries on behalf of the club. Let Robin know at least 10 days before the event.
  6. 6.An electronic timing system with timing chip will be implemented for all individual events this year. The chips with instructions will be handed out prior to the first individual event at Lardner's Park on 8 May 2010. You must wear the chip on your shoe or you will not be recorded in the event and the team will score no points for your run. You must ensure that you bring the timing chip to every individual AV event. If you lose or damage the chip replacements are expensive ($50).
  7. 7.All entries for individual events and relays must be submitted online to AV by no later than the Monday prior to the event. It is your responsibility to submit your winter race entries for the individual events as this will not be done by filling in a season entry form through the club as has been the past practice.
  8. 8.If any athlete has difficulties with the above procedure please speak to Robin or a committee member so that we can work together to maximise the opportunities for all our athletes.
